This formula, elaborated by a Shepherd/Herbalist more than two centuries ago and continually improved by the following generations, has been developed into a special formula. This Balsam is produced in limited tightly controlled production as to nearly being an Artisan product with virgin olive oil and a great number of pure essential oils. This formula is ideal to calm and sooth the skin with its regenerative properties as well as to care for the most damaged and or dry skin, hands, cuticles, nails, elbows, knees, heels and feet. Ideal for use in the mountains, beach as well as domestic use.

HISTORY
This is our family inheritance, which has been transmitted from generation to generation. More than 200 years ago a Shepherd/Herbalist from the small town of Castuera (Extremadura), Spain would collect medicinal plants in the nearby mountains daily. Each night he would return home to make his balsam formula. He would elaborate this formula in his fireplace using a black iron skillet. His wondrous balsam was a mixture made from olive oil, virgin bees wax and a variety of medicinal mountain plants. This Balsam was so effective in its usage that it became highly sought after and was very much in demand. When he would arrive at home in the evening, his neighbours and people from all over the region were waiting for him at his doorstep. They would come in great need of the balsam for all their families. The shepherd would prepare his balsam and later would come out and disperse small quantities in the ceramic bowls provided by each person.
